You will also need a mixing bowl, spoons for scooping and stirring, and a towel.

How to make the mask:

Start by putting together all the ingredients together except the rose water in a mixing bowl. Finally, add the rosewater, pouring in a little at a time till you get the right consistency.

Apply the herbal face pack on your face and neck area. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Wash with cool water.

You may follow up with an aloe-based moisturizer.

Benefits of This Ayurvedic Face Pack

Fuller’s Earth: Multani mitti is an excellent base because clay masks soak up all the oil that cause breakouts. It also cleanses pores and has a mild bleaching effect – great for clearing up tan. Oily skinned people will love this.

Honey: Honey is antibacterial so no more acne and just perfect for delivering a heavy dose of anti-aging antioxidants. Very nourishing for dry skin as it’s a humectant – which means it attracts moisture to keep skin supple.

Licorice: Licorice or mulethi cools down your skin. It helps to fade blemishes and dark spots. Licorice is often used in Ayurvedic skin care for its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory properties to heal eczema, psoriasis, dry skin and skin rashes. It is also commonly used in sunscreen to protect the skin from the harmful UV rays. Licorice root works on all skin types, be it oily skin, irritated or mature and uneven skin.

Turmeric: Haldi is highly antibacterial with properties to exterminate pimple-causing bacteria so it’s a boon for acne-prone skin. Turmeric is also anti-inflammatory so it will bring down redness and make your skin glow with its antioxidants. This golden spice is miraculous for practically every type of skin out there.

Tulsi: Holy basil is excellent for treating acne and scars, skin infections, lightening dark spots and improving skin texture. It’s a very powerful detox agent for your skin. Tulsi has so many vitamins, electrolytes, minerals and phytonutrients.

Rosewater: Gulabjal helps maintain the skin's pH balance and keep it moisturized. It works as an excellent cleanser to deep clean pores and also controls excess oil. Rosewater has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce redness of skin, acne marks, dermatitis and eczema. The aroma of roses is said to be a powerful mood enhancer and can keep you feeling refreshed.
