Oatmeal is definitely trending as one of the top health foods. So, if you’re looking for a healthy breakfast, oats are the way to go. Sometimes though, your tastebuds may not necessarily agree with that. Which is why it’s helpful to have a few tricks up your sleeve to make oats more exciting for them. Check out these oatmeal dessert recipes which will leave everyone at home wanting more.

Oatmeal Cookie Dough

Who doesn’t love cookie dough, right? Cookie dough is super yum and tempting enough to eat way before the cookies are made.


½ cup whole-wheat flour

½ cup rolled oats

½ tsp powdered cinnamon

¼ tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

¼ cup brown sugar

4 tbsp butter

1 tbsp Greek yogurt

½ tsp organic vanilla extract

  • Microwave the flour in a bowl for about one minute. Remove and stir well. Place bowl back in the microwave and reheat for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Sift into a bigger bowl. Whisk in the oats, cinnamon, baking powder and salt.
  • Mix the brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter, yogurt and vanilla in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer until well combined for about 2 minutes.
  • Now combine the flour-oat mixture to this and mix well until well combined. You can choose to use your hands to combine as well.
  • Empty the cookie dough in an airtight container and refrigerate. Consume within 5 days.

Nut-ritious Oatmeal Cookies

Fill your cookie jar with these absolutely delish chewy cookies that have a nutty crunch to delight.


1 ½ cups whole-wheat flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp powdered cinnamon

¾ cup butter

1 cup brown sugar

½ cup granulated sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp organic vanilla extract

3 cups rolled oats

1 cup raisins and chopped nuts

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Combine flour, baking soda and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, add butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar and beat with an electric mixer until creamy.
  • Add in the eggs and vanilla and continue to beat in.
  • Now, add in the flour mixture and combine well.
  • Lastly, add the oats and raisins and fold in until well combined.
  • Drop the dough by tablespoonfuls onto your baking sheets.
  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes until you see a lovely golden brown color.
  • Let the cookies cool for about 2 minutes on the baking sheets and remove from the sheets.

Oatmeal Drops

What better combination than chocolate and oatmeal? These are like little drops of heaven (yes, we are a Friends fan!).


1 cup butter

½ cup milk

2 cups sugar

3 cups rolled oats

½ cup chopped dates

½ cup cocoa

1 tsp salt

1 tsp organic vanilla extract

  • Heat butter, sugar and milk in a medium saucepan on medium-low heat for about five minutes. Stir occasionally.
  • Add all the remaining ingredients in the pan and let it simmer for another five minutes. Keep stirring the mixture. Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper. Drop teaspoonfuls of the mixture on the cookie sheets and allow it to set.
  • Store in an airtight container.
