Iced Detox Teas and Why you should Start having them

Ever heard of diet teas? We’re sure you have because detox tea for weight loss is the next big thing. The cool part is that they can actually work well for you, that is if you pick the right one. Take a look at these super easy iced tea recipes

Strawberry and Orange Iced Tea


  • 7 chamomile tea bags
  • 12 cups water
  • 1 big orange sliced and peeled
  • 15 large strawberries cut in halves
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 4 teaspoons hot water

Place 1 tea bag with 1 and a 1/2 cup of water in 8 small glasses (200 ml). Place 1 orange slice and about 4-5 strawberry halves in each jar and refrigerate for 24 hours. Make sure you keep the glass covered. The next day, remove the tea bags from the glass. Add in the honey and 1 teaspoon of warm water in each glass. Mix well and serve chilled.

Mint Ice Tea


  • 1 tablespoon loose green tea
  • 5 cups of boiling water
  • 1 big bunch of mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Rinse a small teapot with some of the boiling water, then throw away the rinsed water. Add in 5 cups of boiling water to the pot. Mix in the tea and let it steep for about 3-4 minutes. Add in the mint and powdered sugar. Let the mixture steep for another 3-4 minutes. Strain the tea. Serve hot or in iced for as per choice.

Watermelon Iced Tea


  • 8 cups boiling water
  • 8 tea bags
  • 1/4 medium sized watermelon cut in small triangles
  • 1 bunch of basil leaves
  • Sugar as per taste

Pour the hot water into a large pitcher. Add in the tea bags and let it steep for 10 minutes. Remove the tea bags and allow the mixture to cool. Add in the watermelon pieces, sugar and basil leaves and refrigerate. Let the ingredients infuse with the tea and serve chilled with ice.
