It’s very important to practice purification of sensitive areas daily. Sensitive skin care can sound complicated to handle, but it doesn’t have to be. We’ll give you the perfect purification routine for your face, mouth and eyes to help you stay healthy and prevent potential infections.
Cleaning the Mouth
Ayurveda strongly recommends tongue scraping daily to remove toxins and bacteria that develop through the night. The best way is to gently scrape from the back of the tongue to the end in long strokes. Keep repeating this until you have scraped the whole surface. Make sure that you rinse the scraper in between strokes and continue this process until your tongue feels clean and without a coating.
According to Ayurveda, tongue scraping should be practiced every morning on an empty stomach. This stimulates internal organs and boosts digestion.
Gentle Face Care
Once you are done with cleaning your tongue, you should then move on to face cleansing. You can also try a gentle face mask. First splash you face with cold water, massage your eyelids by gently rubbing them. Blink and rotate your eyes in all directions 7 times. Dry your face and clean with a soft towel.
Ayurveda recommends a tridoshic eyewash for your eyes. Add triphala powder to one cup of water, boil for about ten minutes and cool and strain. Use this to gently cleanse your eyes.
Every now and then you are likely to face an irritating, itchy feeling in your ears due to the development of wax. Here is one of the best natural solutions to get rid of ear wax.
Saline solution: Mix 1 teaspoon of salt in around ½ cup of warm water until it dissolves completely. Now, soak a cotton ball in the solution and squeeze few drops of it into the ear by slightly tilting your head upwards. Be in this position for some time so that the salty water gets inside the ear properly. Now, tilt your head in the opposite direction in order to drain out the solution from the ear.
