Stress Management Skills

Most of Bollywood’s celebrities have adopted practicing yoga to beat stress, attain mental calm and stay fit. You should try it too. All you need is 30-45 minutes off from your busy schedule to practice yoga daily. You will be surprised to see how positive it will leave you feeling. It’s the perfect de-stressing therapy. The best part is, it doubles up as your daily dose of exercise too. The best yoga poses for stress are:

  • Sukhasana
  • Marjaryasana
  • Bitilasana
  • Uttana Shishosana

With the busy schedules we live with in Mumbai, it’s very important that you prioritize your tasks for effective time management. Divide your tasks into categories. Tasks which are urgent and important should be finished off that day itself, preferably at the exact time they are due. Tasks that are important but not really that urgent can be left to be finished later depending on your schedule. Tasks which are urgent but not really as important should be delegated as much as possible, or left for when you have finished your other tasks for the day. Low priority tasks should be left to be completed in your spare time. Make sure you plan your day and week well in advance. Maintain a diary or calendar with reminders to ensure all your tasks are completed on time.
