What is Pranayama?
Pranayama is an Ayurvedic practice which involves basic breathing yoga exercises. 'Prana' means energy, and 'ayama' means focus of control. In Ayurveda, it is believed that the ability to control one’s breath can have great benefits, the reason behind this is because you are literally focusing the movement and flow of your energy or prana within your body. Doing so can help promote healing and improve a person's well being and general health.
