Meda dhatu

Meda dhatu is the fourth of the 7 dhatus (types of human tissue) and it includes all the adipose tissue in the body. The nutrients that are required to form meda dhatu are present in mamsa dhatu (muscle tissue). The main functions of meda dhatu are insulation and lubrication.
