Rakta dhatu

Rakta dhatu refers to the red blood cells and is one of the 7 dhatus (types of human tissue). Rakta dhatu is primarily made up of the fire element and is associated with the quality of heat. An excess of rakta dhatu causes inflammation while a deficit results in a loss of mental sharpness and focus.
