Shirodhara is made up of the Sanskrit words shiro (head) and dhara (flow); it is an Ayurvedic therapy that involves pouring liquids such as warm herbal oils in a continuous trickle over the center of the forehead. This technique helps the individual enter a state of deep relaxation and helps to calm the nervous system.
